Overview
Cole Prevost's Dog Abuse Video refers to a viral video allegedly showing Louisiana teen Cole Prevost violently beating his hunting dog, which appears to be a chocolate lab. The video was originally posted in 2023 on Snapchat in which Prevost appears to get frustrated when his dog doesn't respond to a command, violently beating it in the pond while his two friends are laughing and recording the incident. The video went viral in late July 2024, sparking anger among netizens and an online petition calling for the local authorities to remove the Labrador from Prevost's home.
Background

The footage clearly shows instances of violent beatings bestowed on the Prevost dog, indicating that the well-being of these animals is severely compromised." Upon completion of the petition, it raised over 114,000 signatures.

@mediummama Cole Prevost, meet Grady. He was also raised by a hunter until 6 months of age. The man who was meant to love him, took his puppy away. Vets thought he was sick because he was so traumatized, he wouldnt walk on the floors in our home… Theres a larger issue at hand than just Cole unfortunately. I hope this disgusting act sheds light on the hunting dog community as a whole. 6 years of loving my boy to build him back up, you don’t deserve the love of an animal #coleprevost #dogabuseawareness #huntingdogoftiktok #chcolatelabsotiktok ♬ what was I made for? – Instrumental – Wheeler
