Cheshire Teacher Annie Dunleavy Threatening Trump Supporters Video Controversy refers to a November 2024 controversy surrounding a viral video posted to Snapchat by a Cheshire, Connecticut Chapman School teacher named Annie Dunleavy in which she threatened Donald Trump supporters. The video largely went viral when it was reposted by the Twitter / X account Libs of TikTok. The video was originally posted to the Cheshire CT Community Forum Facebook group and resulted in Dunleavy being placed on leave with the school.
Background
On November 11th, 2024, Facebook[1] user Pam Salamone shared a video to the Cheshire CT Community Forum group. It showed a video posted by local Chapman School teacher Annie Dunleavy on her Snapchat story. In the video, Dunleavy shows concern for people of color and LGBTQ+ people following Donald Trump's victory in the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election. She then threatens supporters of Donald Trump, saying, "You will end on a stretcher, gone forever."
Salamone wrote in the video's description, "This is from a Chapman School teacher and is one of the most disturbing posts I have ever seen. This is a hard no and she needs to be immediately fired…" The post received 210 reactions and 220 shares in a day.
The video was amplified by the X[2] account @libsoftiktok a few hours later on November 11th, receiving over 5.9 million views and 104,000 likes in a day (shown below).

On November 11th, 2024, Cheshire Superintendent Jeffrey Solan addressed the video in an email to all parents, saying, "She was expressing her personal opinion and not those of the Cheshire Public Schools." He said that Dunleavy had been placed on leave until the conclusion of the school's investigation on the matter.[3]
