Avatar Pavi Leaks refers to leaked character designs and storyboards from the upcoming Avatar: The Last Airbender sequel, created by Bryan Konietzko and Mike DiMartino. Images of rumored Avatar Pavi's character design, as well as the rumored dystopian plot of the upcoming show, were discussed on sites like Reddit, 4chan and X / Twitter in early December 2024.

Origin

On December 3rd, 2024, KnightedMedia^[1][2] made a series of posts alluding to the characters and settings in the upcoming Avatar show set in the same universe as The Last Airbender and Korra, albeit several years in the future.

The leaks indicate that the show may take place after a cataclysmic event in the far-distant future where the four nations no longer exist. Furthermore, the leaks show that Avatar Korra may have had to reshape the world into seven safe havens to save it from the cataclysmic event, a trial that eventually kills her.

The leaks also give some clues about the new Avatar, who is rumored to be introduced as a very young, brown-skinned girl named Pavi. The artwork depicts Pavi as an amputee who is missing her left leg, with a large feline-monkey-hybrid animal companion. Some artwork also shows her with a taller companion who may be associated with the secret White Lotus group that Iroh was also affiliated with.

Leaked artworks were posted to Reddit's /r/TheLastAirbender^[3][4] subreddit on December 4th, before being deleted on December 5th (images shown below).

Moderators on the subreddit also deleted storyboards showing Pavi meeting a tall, cloaked teenager named Jae, who may be the White Lotus-affiliated companion seen in other artwork.

Spread

The artwork was discussed on 4chan's^[7] /co/ forum on December 4th, 2024, as it emerged online and spread, with some anonymous users criticizing the artwork for pandering to a "woke" audience.

Several internet users posted their reactions to the leaks, with some X users expressing their disappointment over learning that the new Avatar protagonist is a disabled child, while others defended her character design, saying that disabled children are not a novel concept in the Avatar universe.

X^[5] user @MunstaMasta gathered over 23,000 likes in less than a day on a December 5th, 2024, post that read, "Look at my Avatar dawg my village is getting conquered💔💔💔."

Also on December 5th, X^[6] user @M1das_OW2 gathered over 37,000 likes in less than a day on an ironic post that read, "wow. I can’t believe they would make a disabled avatar character. the woke has come for my beloved childhood show."

Later on December 5th, 2024, X^[8] user @dizzymmery posted a joke about how Pavi's only connection to the Avatar line would be Korra, given how she severed her connection to all past Avatars, receiving over 16,200 views, 1,600 likes and 260 retweets in a day.
