Down With Cis: The Grand Post foreverhonest: Hey, wonder what today is? It's National Tell a Lie Day! No, seriously, it is. Look it up. But that isn't why you're here, probably. It's also the 1 year anniversary of the Down With Cis post. You know the one. If not, here's a link to it. Reread it? Good. Now for the big reveal. It was all well-planned satire. DWCblr is probably scrolling past this post now, if not already. Let me explain. It was written as satire to mock the "and the whole bus applauded" kind of posts, but subtly. I'll be frank here; I did not expect people to think I was serious. When I realized people were, I decided "to heck with it" and went along for a while, because it amused me. After a while I grew tired of that, without revealing the actual reason, which you just read earlier this paragraph, because I'm a trickster, I suppose. More than just the Down With Cis post being satire, so were other posts around that time, most notably the one where I pondered on the origins of transphobia. You can guess what that's satire of. It should be clear. Now, not everything I've done has been satire; only some posts around that general time period, and maybe a few afterwards. I don't remember. All my recent opinions are non-satirical “Lol ur just saying this to cover ur ass" It was satire from the very beginning. You're just upset that you had to be told to notice. "but u still want to kill trans people with attack helicopters!!” I've already commented on this, but a bit more explanation wouldn't hurt. The train post? Satire. The helicopter comment? Not satire and completely innocent, although after thinking about it a bit it wasn't purely literal; if I had a helicopter, I'd use it for (chaotic) good, even if said good isn't educating people on internal combustion engines. After a search, I mentioned a slapping helicopter even earlier it seems, but that was just babbling. "anyways down with cis" Did you even read any of the post? Can-can you even read? Plus promoting this "meme" can make trans people feel incredibly uncomfortable because their wish is to become cis, to become comfortable enough with their body to NOT want to f------ hurt themselves every waking moment of their lives. Being trans is not a choice, it is not an accessory. I am not trans but I imagine being born with a body that doesn't match with your mind at all is hell on earth, and working to make it match can be even more of a challenge because of all the b------- society throws at you.
