Doomer Tradwife, also known as Anarcho / Anarchist Tradwife, is a variation of the wojak character that is typically characterized as a left-wing version of the conservative tradwife with black hair, glasses and a septum piercing. Usually, memes revolved around the character demonstrate pro-family and pro-gun values, beliefs in homesteading and living off the land self-sustainably. At times, the character is also shown to be in a relationship with the original tradwife.

Origin

On December 27th, 2019, Instagram^[1] user anarcho.tradwifeism posted the first use of the character in a meme (shown below). Initially created by the meme page, the wojak resembles the administrator of the account and was originally used to represent her, though it is now used more broadly.

Spread

On January 19th, 2020, Instagram^[2] user anarcho.tradwifeism posted an example of the character used in a meme that references Animal Crossing New Horizons (seen below, left), receiving nearly 800 likes in roughly eight months. On July 18th, Instagram^[3] user anarcho.tradwifeism posted another variant to their feed including the original tradwife (seen below, right), receiving over 1,300 likes in two months.

On July 19th, Redditor^[4] hkodes posted a template of the wojak character to the /r/MemeTemplatesOfficial subreddit (shown below, left). On September 20th, Instagram^[5] user misslawless_ posted another example of the character in a meme (shown below, right), receiving over 1,200 likes in three days.
