The earliest available upload of the video was posted to Vine in 2014 by Drake Bentley and went viral over the following years, most notably on TikTok in 2023, where users went viral recreating it.

On December 20th, 2014, Vine^[1] user Drake Bentley uploaded a video where he gives a mock cheesy motivational speech to a fictional team, yelling, "Dammit guys coach is right, if we wanna win it's on us," garnering over 547,000 loops in nine years. The video was reposted to Twitter^[2] on December 23rd and YouTube^[3] at a later date (shown below). The Vine upload may be a reupload.

The video became the subject of recreations on TikTok throughout the early 2020s. For example, on May 14th, 2022, TikToker^[4] @judeflanaganjeetoo posted a video recreating it, garnering over 603,000 views in a year (shown below, left).
