Bonnie Flossing refers to a scene from the Five Nights at Freddy's: Into the Pit gameplay trailer in which the animatronic villain character Bonnie dances the floss. The trailer premiered on June 6th, 2024, and Bonnie's flossing went viral that day on sites including X / Twitter, Reddit and TikTok, inspiring mixed reactions of shock, humor and praise, as well as inspiring some criticism.

Origin

On June 6th, 2024, the gameplay trailer for Five Nights at Freddy's: Into the Pit, which promises to "go back to where it all begins," was released online, garnering over 340,000 views on the IGN YouTube^[1] channel in a day. Around the 00:28 second mark, the animatronic villain character Bonnie can be seen flossing on-stage (shown below).

The scene where Bonnie flosses became the subject of reactions online. On June 6th, 2024, X^[2] user @uorplefever posted a screenshot of Bonnie flossing, writing, "Into the pit gave us bonnie flossing its peak already," garnering over 4,400 likes in a day (shown below).

On the same day, u/StarSaber69 posted the screenshot to /r/fivenightsatfreddys,^[3] garnering over 1,100 upvotes. X^[4] user @shypley shared a clip of Bonnie flossing, writing, "is bonnie fucking flossing," garnering over 3,500 likes in a day.

Later that day, X^[5] user @VannyRabbitLady quote reposted the clip, writing, "Fnaf fans really need to learn how to love fun instead of hating on it. Stop making a big fucking deal about Bonnie flossing," garnering over 2,500 likes in a day. One commenter, X^[6] user @TheFloppzy, commented, "I have no real issue with it I just wish it was more accurate with the time period, fnaf fans just like to have just a smidge of accuracy in a franchise that barely gives straight answers (shown below, left).

X^[7] user @DevSprings posted a meme to X^[7] about Bonnie flossing, writing, "fnaf fans when chica dabs VS fnaf fans when bonnie flosses," garnering over 5,200 likes in a day (shown below, right). The post references artwork of Chica dabbing used in an official FNAF book.

On June 7th, 2024, Redditor u/pepo-pepito posted a piece of artwork depicting Chica dabbing and Bonnie flossing to /r/fivenightsatfreddys,^[8] writing, "would you rather a flossing Bonnie son or dabbing Chica daughter?" garnering over 100 upvotes in around two hours (shown below). They also posted it to X,^[9] garnering over 250 likes in the same span of time.
