Bald Timothée Chalamet refers to a photoshopped image of actor Timothée Chalamet with a bald head and a tan jacket looking into the camera. The original, unaltered photograph comes from the Fall 2017 cover of British GQ Style magazine and was posted to X / Twitter in mid-June 2024 under the guise of being a "new look" that was receiving mixed reactions from fans. The photograph became the subject of further photoshops and memes over the following days as the exploitable image spread.

Origin

The Fall/Winter edition of British GQ Style magazine features actor Timothée Chalamet on the cover.^[1] On June 13th, 2024, X^[2] user @indianloonie posted a photoshop of the photograph in which Chalamet appears bald, writing, "Timothee Chalmet reveals new bald look to 'mixed' reactions," garnering over 2,500 likes and 1,200 reposts in a day (shown below, left and right).

Spread

The photograph became the subject of memes shortly after it was posted. For example, on June 14th, 2024, X^[3] user @MaybeDatapod posted an edit writing "I heart eating shit" on Chalamet's forehead, captioning the post, "well well well, guess who just got kicked out of starbucks for, you guessed it, being white," garnering over 2,400 likes in under a day (shown below, left). On the same day, X^[4] user @LiamBeUponYe posted an edit depicting Chalamet as Baldi, garnering over 21,000 likes in the same span of time (shown below, right).

Later that same day, X^[5] user @countindraculas posted an edit of Chalamet as Dr. Venture from The Venture Bros., garnering over 800 likes in under six hours (shown below).
