About
Ahenobarbus Henocied, also known as Creepy Doll, Kawaikusasete, Aheno, Gurgles and Bugman, Ahenobarbus, or dollthing.jpg is a nickname for an edited Cursed Image, which is a white-skinned, broken Japanese Ichimatsu Doll with a creepy face, large bloodshot eyes and a bloodied mouth. The picture is commonly used as a screamer image and also is associated with a Facebook user named "Ahenobarbus Henocied" that sent NSFW material to minors on Facebook during June 2015.
Origin
On an unknown date in mid-2004, a 2chan user uploaded an image of a broken Japanese ichimatsu doll (shown below).
On March 31st, 2005, GeoCities user Ryuoutan[1] posted a GIF on his blog (shown below). The "GIF" is an edited cutscene from the Japanese visual novel game To Heart 2, in which the character "Konomi Yuzuhara" appears alongside text in Japanese (shown below) and later, a screamer face is shown.
On December 25th, 2005, 2chan user AnotherR posted an edit of the doll with the screamer face in a chain letter (shown below).
If you don't post this image on another imageboard within one hour, something terrible will happen at the end of the year. There are also people who died because they didn't send this picture.
Spread
On December 3rd, 2007, a 2chan anon published[2] a thread saying, "This dude is scary as fuck so you guys have to somehow use your power to try to make it look cute!" The thread started to fill with the same picture but edited to make it look "cuter" (shown below).
On January 23rd, 2012, Reddit user WontThinkStraight posted[3] a Creepypasta named "Gurgles and Bugman" on r/nosleep [4], which uses the image of Ahenobarbus Henocied. It was not until June 8th, 2014 that the Creepypasta was uploaded[5] to the Creepypasta Wiki[6] with the image of Ahenobarbus Henocied (shown below).
Facebook Profile
In early June 2015, a user created a Facebook account called "Ahenobarbus Henocied" (shown below). The user was notorious for sending NSFW material and unusual location coordinates to a strange place to many people in private messages. The account went viral within the Hispanic community, leading to the image being known as "Ahenobarbus Henocied."
