1950s Selfie Stick Couple refers to a viral video originally posted by TikTok user Brendan Murray (@brendanmurrayy) showing himself and his female partner dressed in vintage, old-fashioned clothing from the early 20th century walking around York, England with a selfie stick filming them. The video was reposted to Twitter / X by user The cooking lady (@wolffdew) in December 2024, who wrote, "I wish this was still the standard, now people are wearing pajamas outside," inferring that people should return to traditional (trad) value systems. On November 23rd, 2024, TikToker[1] @brendanmurrayy posted a video of him and his partner walking around in York, England, dressed in vintage clothing. The video was filmed from a selfie stick. The song chosen was "You Make Me Feel So Young" by Frank Sinatra. Over 19 days, the video received roughly 2.2 million plays and 222,000 likes (shown below). The couple had posted similar TikToks[2] earlier in the month.
