C-1 90% of the people who dislike Ellen Pao dislike her for being female or for racist bs reasons. And her lawsuit against a former employer of hers is irreverent to her role at Reddit. If I get involved in a law suit with my next door neighbor cause I think he's dumping leaves into my back yard, that doesn't effect my ability to purchase milk from the local supermarket. And anyone who would claim it did would automatically be written off as a lunatic. The only reason people bring it up her law suit is because it highlights that she is a she. Their griefing actions ramped up when FPH was banned It's a classic strategy they developed to go after Anita Sarkeesian and Zoe Quinn. Its an anonymous campaign by a small group of griefers, who are using Gamergate tactics like flooding twitter, creating bogus polls and stuffing the ballot boxes using bots, etc. to make it look like there are tens of thousands of them. But there arent, there are maybe 50 of them. They are few, but they want to look like this is a civil war. This is how griefers work. X Journalists would make claims of people like Anita Sarkeesian "playing video games all her life" when she openly admitted many times she is not a gamer and only starter recently (when it wasn't for an interview). Various developers trading sex or money for good reviews got exposed, journalists who accepted got exposed. People became a bit more critical about supporting a game just because the developer has a victim complex stating tat their game could have only failed because of sexism, instead of their own poor developing skills. What really sealed the deal was opposition often faking their own harassment. Anita sarkeesian and Zoe Quinn have been caught multiple times screenshotting "harassment" while showing that the harrasser's account name in the login. Or when someone called the police to help Sarkeesian against a "very real threat" she was posting about, only for police to find the harasser's messages were coming from her IP address.
