Gamergate or GamerGate (GG)[¹] was a loosely organized misogynistic online harassment campaign and a right-wing backlash against feminism, diversity, and progressivism in video game culture. Women are aware of publicized games but they don't pay attention to the commercials on TV because they seem to know that the ads aren't targeted to them. Often, the woman will play whatever the boyfriend bought.
