If it's not backed up in several locations, it might as well not be saved at all Over the past four months, Gamergate has collected uncountable examples of collusion, shady activity, unprofessional conduct, cronyism, the works. Most of that information is saved in archive.today links, which at this point is the biggest weak link in the history of weak links GG has absolutely no control over archive.today, which is useful for the purpose of having a third party program that we can't be accused of tampering with, but it still means that if that site ever went down (or the owner started chugging the kool-aid, etc.), everything we've collected could be lost. All important archive links need to receive two-step or even three-step archival, preferably onto at least one platform that GG controls. Wayback Machine isn't enough, because that service accepts requests to take archived pages down tl;dr Gamergate needs to stop putting all its eggs into one basket.
