liz@raspberrypi.org Gamergate and lost sales Hi Liz, I'm e-mailing you to show my distaste for Raspberry pi's stance on Gamergate and to let you know it has directly lost you sales. I am a disabled gamer and use gaming as part of my pain treatment, many studies have shown gaming is a great tool for this and I can confirm it through personal experience. The problem is l am being told I hate women because l happen to want to use Mario Kart instead of an extra pain killer in my pain treatment. I am being vilified for being a gamer, who has never once attacked a woman, but apparently I hate them for some reason no one can seem to provide evidence for. Now this honestly isn't very important to you and that is fine, but it does lead into your support of these abusive people to have lost you customers I have a young nephew who loves exploring technology, I was looking at purchasing him and his friends some Raspberry pis so could learn how computers work without risking him damaging an expensive machine. I was really quite looking forward to it to be perfectly honest, but because you have expressed anti-gamergate sentiments, I will no longer be following up on this idea. I am part of Gamergate because l was told I was dead, hated women and abused women, because l picked up a jovpad and found a place in life where I felt welcome and wasn't happy when people with questionable ethics decided I was no longer welcome because I'm a white man. You are entitled to your opinions and I very much respect your right to free speech. But I don't give money to companies who support abusive people and your support of anti-gamergate bashtags on Twitter has informed me that you are doing just that. Should Raspberry pi offer an apology to Gamers for supporting bullies, I would reconsider my boycott, but as it stands I l not be purchasing any more products from you and I will be recommending my friends and family to avoid doing so as well Thank vou for vour time

X Journalists would make claims of people like Anita Sarkeesian "playing video games all her life" when she openly admitted many times she is not a gamer and only starter recently (when it wasn't for an interview). Various developers trading sex or money for good reviews got exposed, journalists who accepted got exposed. People became a bit more critical about supporting a game just because the developer has a victim complex stating tat their game could have only failed because of sexism, instead of their own poor developing skills. What really sealed the deal was opposition often faking their own harassment. Anita sarkeesian and Zoe Quinn have been caught multiple times screenshotting "harassment" while showing that the harrasser's account name in the login. Or when someone called the police to help Sarkeesian against a "very real threat" she was posting about, only for police to find the harasser's messages were coming from her IP address.
