And yes, even back then people would believe them. Yes I did escape from it into the world of video games Yes, the games were the only place where I was accepted my whole childhood Yes indeed I was pathetic And yes, I was ugly too Yes instead of people, I was saved by video games Yes my bullies said it was just "playing" and "joking" too Yes, I've learned that "playing and joking" were terms for severe sexual abuse Yes my first suicide attempt was at 13 And yes, I understand that you are oppressed because a character in a video game you haven't even played shows too much skin. Yes, I understand that being psychologically and physically abused for years is funny to you Yes, of course it is, you and your lives were always perfect And yes I wished I was you, I wished it so badly But I don't care, I don't do this and support this because of you. I do this and support this to protect the only thing that has kept me sane trough those years and to support all the strangers around the world, who shared all that with me There will always be people like you, and that shows perfectly how unimportant and meaningless you are, deep down you know this. And every time you laugh at us, at me, it doesn't hurt now, because I know you wish you had to fight, and survive, you wish you you could be stronger, you wish you could be not so meaningless and empty. You want to be a victim but you cannot escape the fact that you are a bully. A bully who had it too nice. Because just like in games, if it's too easy, it won't feel like you achieved anything. So you hide behind the shield of irrational ideologies and false victimhood, to convince yourself, and others, that you are doing something important, and that you had to fight. X Journalists would make claims of people like Anita Sarkeesian "playing video games all her life" when she openly admitted many times she is not a gamer and only starter recently (when it wasn't for an interview). Various developers trading sex or money for good reviews got exposed, journalists who accepted got exposed. People became a bit more critical about supporting a game just because the developer has a victim complex stating tat their game could have only failed because of sexism, instead of their own poor developing skills. What really sealed the deal was opposition often faking their own harassment. Anita sarkeesian and Zoe Quinn have been caught multiple times screenshotting "harassment" while showing that the harrasser's account name in the login. Or when someone called the police to help Sarkeesian against a "very real threat" she was posting about, only for police to find the harasser's messages were coming from her IP address.
