Anti-GG here-I have some questions. (self.KotakulnAction) submitted an hour ago by thoraway-GG-question I am not looking for you to change my mind, I just want to hear some answer from you. 1) Can you provide proof of harassment of GGers based on the fact that they are GGers? 2) Why is it that when a feminist such as ZQ or AS get harassed, you call it a false flag? 3) What is 4chan's involvement with the GG movement? Yeah: here's a tumblr full of them http://gamergateharassment.tumblr.com 2. Most of us don't, although we do feel their pinning it on an open hashtag that any body can be in is immoral. We've also seen a few people purposely posting harassment on 8chan and then admitting to it in the same thread that they are going to use it as proof we hate women, without them realizing 8chan threads have IDs. 3, 4chan has very little power over #gamergate and #notyourshield. The starter of #notyourshield was accused of being a sockpuppet account, but provided proof he was real. Oddly enough, the account that accused him of it, A_Girl_Irl was actually a legit sockpuppet made by a male SA goon who was very anti-gg. The starter of #gamergate was Adam Baldwin. I doubt 4chan has power over him or Reddit. It's very possible that one of my harassers (who released personal information and also claimed to be pirating my game) was only a troll and did not really represent anti-GG. People like ZQ will also take confirmed trolls and retweet their messages, instead of just saying they're a troll or ignoring them. Brianna Wu admitted to making sockpuppet accounts to make GamerGate look worse, so it's hard to trust a lot of what she says. 3) 4chan apparently talked about sockpuppeting #NotYourShield, but it was created by a black man on Twitter. I'm not sure how many people actually went through with it, I personally know tons of women and minorities in #NotYourShield (my wife inclu 4chan's /v/ was one of the mai o discuss GamerGate because discussing in the major gamingr something like 20 ts would ge owbanned. 4chan' s/v/ help The Fine Young Ca lists, a group that helps women get o the game industry. Gamergate was then banned from 4chan, and they migra o 8chan. Any sort of direct or indirect i ement with 4ch ende ew weeks ago.

Author has 304 answers and 740.1K answer views. 5y Not that I care that much either way, but it did expose a lot of corrupt game developers and game journalists. X Journalists would make claims of people like Anita Sarkeesian "playing video games all her life" when she openly admitted many times she is not a gamer and only starter recently (when it wasn't for an interview). Various developers trading sex or money for good reviews got exposed, journalists who accepted got exposed. People became a bit more critical about supporting a game just because the developer has a victim complex stating tat their game could have only failed because of sexism, instead of their own poor developing skills. What really sealed the deal was opposition often faking their own harassment. Anita sarkeesian and Zoe Quinn have been caught multiple times screenshotting "harassment" while showing that the harrasser's account name in the login. Or when someone called the police to help Sarkeesian against a "very real threat" she was posting about, only for police to find the harasser's messages were coming from her IP address.
