I've been your fan as long as youve been around. I've stood by your side during the good times and even the rocky times. I've been with you through The Simpsons is Still Funny "Heavens to Metroid" "Crass Effect" "After Mass" "Tropes vs. Moviebob" your "Rango" review and even your Last Airbender" review. I believed in you. I believed that, however controversial and nonconformist your opinion might be, at least your heart was in the right place and you had a different perspective that at least could be backed up. Hell, I don't even mind your biases half the time. I do think diversity and feminism are worth considering. I do think Michael Bay sucks and the audience supporting him sucks. I do think the Sony reboot of Spider-man is godawful. I do think Marvel is doing a better job than DC when it comes to translating comic book characters to the big screen But, it's here that I start to doubt you and even turn away from you. I dont mind if you are on the progressive side of What I do mind is the amount of vitriol and spew you have contributed to by dismissing your opponents and labeling them. You, who has been on the receiving end of persecution and bullying and torment for enjoying a hobby (comic books) and repeating that same behavior to those with dissenting opinions. You retweeting Devin Faraci's toxic attitude of "1 have more respect for ISIS than the Anti-Quinn people". These ends, however noble and forward-thinking, do not justify these means. Your behavior on Twitter is not something I approve of. I expect that king of behavior out of a 13 year old troll, a member of 4chan or the Anti-thinker. I don't expect that out of a journalist, a gaming, I dont mind if you do defend gaming journalists and even Zoe Quinn. I'm disappointed in you, Bob. I got linked to this recently and it's a bit of food for thought: specifically covering how in a desire for "progressiveness", people turn a blind eye to the abuse they and others of their side spew. It mirrors my own thoughts in recent months as Ive realized that while I've ridiculed social commentary as Care Bear thinking, theyve missed an important rule from the show: to get friends, you have to be one. Going through this since yesterday, I have great trouble thinking of times empathy was shown to gamers, their concerns were weighed fairly, and less and less of times theyre even treated as human (sorry, there no amount of sorry that completely forgives comparisons to terrorist organizations), then they, and people like Bob can't figure out why we get mad. I mean, they're only asking us to change things we like, change our values, change ourselves, change how we think, and let our voice carry little to nothing, all for the reward of their company I don't have a colorful phrase for the level of stupid that must take to maintain 4. Okay, so now that the ACTUAL video started, we can start deconstructing it ( shouldn't even be bothering at this point ). For starters, if we need to keep arguing about what the term "Gamer" means, then you will never understand what things like Gamer Gate is ACTUALLY about. If you don't know what makes you a Gamer and what doesnt, you're likely one of those people who thought terms like "Nerd" and "Jock don't mean anything. You cant take out ALL meaning from one word and inject meaning into others. I could try to answer this question directly, but it's not really worth it. You need to understand basic language before we go into s--- like this and SJWs have proved themselves to not want any kind of ACTUAL discussion about this subject. For the record, arguing that the "war" is what originated the term "Gamer" is just silly and considering how subtle the integration of that term was, you need a little more prove than just a blanket statement 5. Gamers didn't learn "how not to be at war" because these f------ never stopped going after us If people like Anita and apparently the majority of game journalism just quit with their b------- and left us alone, we wouldn't need to "attack them. It's funny because every time I hear this argument, it sounds like you're talking about feminists since so many of them act as if it's still the 1950's going on and on about how apparently sad it was that middle-class white women couldn't vote. I'm f------ sick of their b------- victim-complex, but I would need a bigger platform than a forum to fully disclose my feelings and explanations behind that subject so ll sum it up like this Anyone, be it Anita or Jack, suggesting that we need to "think" about games to the point that certain ideas and even series of games are shamed away are practicing a form of censorship. Period. You being offended BY A F------ GAME should NOT matter to anyone and SJWs are trying to use Social Justice to MAKE their worthless feelings matter to the point that certain games risk not even being released in the states due to this s---. Are we expected to wa until the problem is too deep to fix before addressing this nonsense? All I know is when ANY form of disagreement is viewed as "harassment", rationality has been completely thrown out the window. Ya know, I'm actually glad Gamer Gate happened because it's the tipping point to an issue I've seen grow over the past 2 years and serves as great talking point for why s--- like Social Justice is so toxic. I originally intended to make video about Bob and explain exactly how and why his show got so terrible, but I'm revising the hell outta that s--- to make it more about Gamer Gate and supporters of Social Justice in general because we need as many sane voices as possible explaining why this backlash is happening because apparently InternetAristocrat wasn't enough fo these people. X Journalists would make claims of people like Anita Sarkeesian "playing video games all her life" when she openly admitted many times she is not a gamer and only starter recently (when it wasn't for an interview). Various developers trading sex or money for good reviews got exposed, journalists who accepted got exposed. People became a bit more critical about supporting a game just because the developer has a victim complex stating tat their game could have only failed because of sexism, instead of their own poor developing skills. What really sealed the deal was opposition often faking their own harassment. Anita sarkeesian and Zoe Quinn have been caught multiple times screenshotting "harassment" while showing that the harrasser's account name in the login. Or when someone called the police to help Sarkeesian against a "very real threat" she was posting about, only for police to find the harasser's messages were coming from her IP address.
