The video argues that the focus on sex-negative feminism and tropes of video games may come from a white man named Jonathan McIntosh. Jonathan is the producer and co-writer of Feminist Frequency This man is your ENEMY >LETS LEARN MORE ABOUT JONATHAN MCINTOSH In 2008, Jonathan McIntosh did a talk for Ars Electronica. You can watch that video on youtube. It explains how he remixes and makes propaganda out of video in order to evoke a certain feeling in the viewer. Remixers are not critiquing the form mainstream media takes (as contemporary video art has done for decades) but rather borrowing and using it as a vehicle to deliver their own subversive messages. He's basically saying that editing videos to mimic "fake" news ala Daily Show can give the viewer the illusion that the material they are watching is credible. Notice how Feminist Frequency is shot and edited like a news program. I find it amazing that he goes ahead and admits that PRV is subversion. Anyway, I recommend reading the entire essay. Because it is essentially the blueprints for femfreq Also please spread this info around. One of the biggest problems feminism has is rich white dudes speaking for women.
