I'm extremely disappointed with this whole fiasco Let me begin with 1 single fact Neogaf is one of the most important gaming centric forums for westerns. People come here to learn and inform themselves about the industry tendencies, actors, etc When an issue like the Zoe Quinn "drama" begins, expect to come to this site and find a moderated discussion about the subject, hopefully with informed posters refuting/proving any claims made about the subject. The faster the truth comes to light the faster this issue can be addressed and/or ignored. Censorship is not and never will be the solution. While I understand that the personal life of the individual should not be part of the discussion for many reasons, completely blocking any form of discussion is counterproductive, since it only increases the chances for lies to spread and feeds the Streisand effect of a nasty situation. As with all topics, if the subject is difficult (in this case it is), it's the moderation's responsibility to keep it civilized and in this specific case, it's also their job to avoid any derail into related topics that touch sensitive information. Completely blocking this topic not only kills the possibility of having a valuable discussion about the serious issues on the industry (nepotism in this case) and it also makes me question the mindset and disposition of the moderation team to handle these kind of situations With all of this said, I hope the people responsible will re-evaluate their position and will work on a solution for this and future events.
