When Jaune was six a tomboy faunus girl defended him from the bullies. They became very close and were always together. The last time they played together was in ǎ forest that was supposed to he safe from the the Grimm. A troop of hunters sau them from afar and rushed to help them. They chose to save Jaune first and left the girl for last because she was a faunus. She was killed before they could reach her. Jaune's father found him covered in blood, carrying his friend with a traumatized face, unable to remember what happened. He sealed away Jaune's aura after finding out that the Beowolves were torn apart by little hands, as well as the hunters.
