Spam up to counteract all of the trolls that are spamming down, right? WRONG Nintendo GAME BOYT By telling you you're wrong, it makes this post sound more authoritative. It also lets you know you're wrong.) Here's the thing about movement in Pokemon: When you press any direction, you move in that direction. Obviously But if you're not facing that direction, you have to spend a frame turning to face that direction. This is why you will sometimes see RED turn, but not actually go anywhere. It's this frame that can save us. Confused? Let me break it down: If we're NOT facing down, there's a CHANCE we'll only turn to FACE the ledge, but we MIGHT not actually jump down F--- However, if we ARE facing down, and we press down again, YOU CAN BET YOUR ASS WE'LL JUMP OFF THAT LEDGE! So just spam up so we avoid facing down, right? WRONG. ALSO: F--- SPAM THE DIRECTION WE WANT TO GO Why? Because if we're spending all our time facing up, WE'LL BE WASTING FRAMES TURNING LEFT OR RIGHT. Facing up provides NO BETTER CHANCE to avoid a down throwing us off the ledge than left or right, but it DOES provide us with plenty of chances to throw away progress TL;DR: UP IS NOT THE ANSWER F---.
