They both enjo tomboyish activities and putting the most effort into everything they do. They are also harmonious opposites because Rainbow Dash is very prideful and Applejack is by comparison modest. They also have a friendly rivalry. As a couple, they will only bring out more of each others' best, both in love and everyday life, because of this compatibility. The rest goes without saying. This pairing has been popular since early season 1 and the other two couples are somewhat built around allowing this couple to exist. MMISSIDNED FOR Smire Fluttershy X Rarity (Flarity) From seasons 1 to 3, Fluttershy and Rarity have shown signs of growing steadily closer as friends. Even in season 1, they seem to enjoy doing many things together, such as going to spas. Both have an interest of living a more relaxed lifestyle where the can pursue their passions in life. The best part, though, is Rarity can help Fluttershy with her confidence and protect her when she is being pushed around. Fluttershy is also very patient and loving which allows her to deal with Rarity's shortcomings and potentially even help her with them Pinkie Pie X Twilight Sparkle (Twinkie) Both of these characters (especially Twilight) are the worst to pair with others, but this couple can be very deep when thought about seriously. Pinkie could help Twilight loosen up when it's time to have fun and is actually very respectful to her friends when they need her to be. Besides, Pinkie has an entire town to pester when Twilight studies. Twilight could also bring out more of Pinkie's natural intellect and Pinkie seems to have the quick-wittedness and random knowledge to trump even Twilight with some issues. lt would be very interesting to see how this relationship could evolve, especially now that Pinkie would have to live up to royal standards if they came out to the public about their relationship. Honorable mentions Pinkie Pie X Rainbow Dash (Pinkiedash) is extremely popular because both characters can have fun together. It creates more problems when considering the possibility of other couples in the same continuity, however. Applejack X Rarity (Rarijack) are combative opposites and could make for some exciting adult themes but it's hard to see them living together. Rainbow DashX Fluttershy (Flutterdash) is also great because they're childhood friends, they're seen together a lot and seem to know each others" needs because of how long they've known each other.
