Yeah, the show can do these DBZ things IF they work it right. They just need to focus on the changes that come in their lives and make it a character problem instead of an external confict 7380541 I never had a problem with it, it's something I wanted since the show first started. It was obvious to me where the plot was headed 7380573 >7380589 It's likely a combination. Something that the writers wanted to do, but Hasbro forced their hand early. OR it was suppose to be that season 3 was the last one, it is 65 episodes. Enough for syndication. The show getting popular changed things and in the start of season 3's production Hasbro probably told them that they were extending to 4 seasons Could you imagine that, having everything wrapped up nicely for the end of the show. Rainbow Dash the Wonderbolt, AJ content with her Family, Rarity and Sweetie Belle enjoying their company with Rarity on the way to a high fashion career. Fluttershy getting over her social anxiety, Pinkie learning to be responsible and Twilight ascending to become a Princess Then BAM, they need to extend it, but the Twilight becomes an alicorn plot line has already been established and written and the toy is already in production and they cant push it back.
