Apparently D/P remakes weren't going to be made.

Game Freak decided early on that they were not going to do a DP remake. Seems like they backtracked at the last moment and hired ILCA for it (probably because of the delay?) "Based on the traditional development timeline, a DP (Diamond/Pearl) remake could be expected, but we are deciding not to create a simple, proper remake of the original using current technology this time. We aim to create something that will become the technical foundation for future entries in the series by taking on the challenge of innovating both the gameplay and technology while keeping in mind the next generation of Pokémon games." 作品のポジション従来の開発タイミングを踏まえると、 DPリメイクも想定できますが、原作を現行技術で再現した正当なリメイクを作るのを今回はやめます。次世代のポケモンを見据えた、遊びと技術の革新に挑戦して行き、今後のシリーズ作品の技術的な基礎となるものを作るためです。本作は、原作の舞台設定を意識しながらも、従来の様式美から一度脱して、異なる世界観や遊び方をもつ、別軸の本編として開発します。
