Is it a "great feat of strength!" to beat up an old or blind man? No. The "great feat of strength!" is to take on and defeat a strong, capable man. That's the difference between the two armies, in strength, skill, logistics and esp morale and leadership, all long gone in 44 freakin' years. Subutai and Batu were dead for over a generation, standards had, shall we say, "slipped," and, sir, I can assure you, Nogai was no substitute. If it soothes your ego and "gets you through the night", by all means, to focus on the vastly different and weakened Mongol army of 1285 being defeated by the Hungarians 44 freakin' years later, Go for it! LOL! Oh, and while you're digging on the Europeans bravery..... in 1285... remember the Mongols were 6,076 kilometers or 3,775 miles from their own home ground, thats further away than London from Chicago, twice as far as Hitler or Napoleon ever got, carrying everything they had, up against an entire country that had, for 44 freakin' years been preparing for them with military reforms, fortifications. But don't let me kill your high. Goodbye, forever, Chengez, your'e going to have to fend in the world without me! PS You say: "But we cannot overstate it to negate the European powers' comeback victories against an empire covering more than half of Asia." "Comeback victories!!" I LOVE IT!! LOL!!! Remember *this*, sir, as you "gloat," ojnn your "European Glory!" -that "empire covering more than half of Asia" (actually MUCH larger than that) was conquered by a VERY few scattered nomadic herders, but not barbarians, but advanced, literally in the middle of nowhere, who captured THE greatest land empire in history, over twice the size of Rome's in 1/10th the time with a fraction of its armies.
