Doom took advantage of the Civil War over the Sokovia Accords, sided with Steve Rogers and Supergirl on the Anti-Accords side. Orchestrated Steve's death as a martyr to spur his unknowing pawns into overthrowing all the world governments. With Supergirl under his sway, Doom has effectively taken over the world. These two are perhaps the only ones that can truly stop Doctor Doom....as such Doom twisted events to put these two firmly in the Pro-Accord group thereby turning their friends and family against them. Now they are imprisoned in the Negative Zone, branded traitors awaiting execution. These are the two that Deadpool's team are trying to set free. As they were two of the biggest voices in the Anti-Accords Group, they now serve in Doom and Supergirl's Regime.……....at least in public. In truth they too realized in horror what working with Doom has wrought. But rather than just switch sides outright, they work as spies for Batman, waiting like a Trojan Horse for the perfect time to strike the Regime from the inside. An advanced AI created by the joint efforts of Hank Pym, Janet Van Dyne and Tony Stark. His initial purpose was as the centerpiece of the Avengers' new Worldwide Peace Keeping Initiative. Ironically he gained sentience and did the exact opposite, spurring on the very existence of the Sokovia Accords. Initially destroyed, Doom had him rebuilt and reprogrammed to serve as the primary weapons manufacturer for the Regime. It was the death of his father, the former King of Wakanda, that made him and his people prominant members of the Pro-Accords Group. But as Doom effectivelt took over the world, he was pressured to join the Regime purely to keep his nation from being burned to the ground. Make no mistake, he is Doom's enemy, the instant an opportunity arises he will turn against the Regime with the full fury of Wakanda! Former president of the United States of America. As the first year of his term was an absolute disaster he hoped to use the very Sokovia Accords he himself proposed to try and win back publicˇ opinion. Instead he revealed himself to be a coward, easily caving to Doom and Supergirl's threats thereby handing the USA over fo the Regime. Even willingly reverted to being the mad criminal Green Goblin to further prove his loyalty to Doom. As Doom secured control over the United States of America and all its dirty laundry, one skeleton in the closet caught his eye. Project Starfish. A rather horrific little attempt to harness bioweapons that was suppose to have been terminated by the Suicide Squad by Amanda Waller's orders. Sadly the Squad was intercepted by Doom, allowing him to take Project Starfish. i.e. Starro the Conqueror, into his grip. Now it waits as his last resort, ready to be deployed in the event that even Supergirl learns the truth and his Regime fails. (As the Final Boss, Starro would basically be an even more bat-s--- insane version of Shuma-Gorrath with a dash of Marx from Kirby Super Star) Primary Heroes. A trio of societal "losers" entrusted with the Hail Mary Pass devised by Batman and Sam Wilson. To complete their desperate mission these three must command a rag tag team of young heroes. The one most paramount to their success being Static Shock. The Resistance opposing Doom and Supergirl's Regime directly. Some were Pro-Accords, haven caught on to Doom's plan to manipulate events in his favor. Most were once part of the Anti-Accords Group, realizing far too late that they were handing Doctor Doom the keys to the kingdom. Now together they use their infamy as traitors to distract the Regime thereby allowing Deadpool's team to complete their mission. A few noteworthy rank and file amongst the Regime's army of metahuman numbering in the hundreds. Many being members of the Anti-Accords Group now fully vindicated in their defiance of the world governments, given free reign to do as they please so long ås it is in service of Doom's agendas. Others are former Pro-Accord Group members given the ultimatum to either serve Doom's Regime for face incarceration in the Negative Zone. The rest are just a bunch of thugs and criminals given "full pardons" by Doom on the condition they serve as his personal squadrons of headhunters.
