The irony of "TERF Bangs" (self.asktransgender) submitted 7 years ago by justokaytoday I've been thinking about this for a few days. Lately on tumblr there's been a running joke around intersectional feminists that you can spot a TERF based on whether or not they have blunt bangs(read: hair like Katy Perry bangs) So then there's me, feminist transwoman who's had those bangs since high school. I've tried in vain several times to grow them out and sometimes I have side swept bangs for a while but inevitably I always end up cutting them before a job interview, big date, etc. Like seriously there could not be an easier hairstyle to manage. Personally I feel like they shorten my face and tip me over from androgynous to feminine.
