k Heute 09:52 , this is a very interesting message to wake up to! I have a lot of thoughts... As an American im expected to accept and "laugh along” at every single back-handed comment someone makes to me about my Americanness, my country, our people, our politics! Down to people criticizing how I bake (like leave me the f--- alone about how I bake right?) If I were ever to do the same I would be absolutely annihilated and very often criticized because I, for example, don't want to date a Russia man. Logistically: that's just something that would have a very small probability of working out- culturally, logistically, etc., but I'm not allowed to say it. All of our s--- is always in the news and our pop culture largely consumed in the west more so than anyone else's. Everyone wants to keep having those benefits while also being able to "make fun of us". Calling us racist all the time, etc. but I think after 7 years in Germany I could really delve into why the widespread denial here about many of those same topics is somehow worse. I learned many great things growing up in the US I'm well educated, know how to have fun, take care of myself, free think, solve problems, make decisions. I don't always see that in my "counterparts" here. I can also say they're not sitting home talking s--- and making jokes about anything or anyone else other than their own politics (generally) So! While I appreciate a good joke and love a howdy cowboy, I also expect that anyone making any joke about race and background can equally take a joke back... otherwise it's actually just mean GIF What. The. F---. SENDEN
