He ran away from home because of "responsibilities" and lives in the city working with delivery (because why not). Make it a storm giant and give him the power to have visions of the future too. And then, when he is finally defeated by the big evil guy, the evil guy drains the giant powers and says "now, let's see who you truly are!"... Then nothing happens, because he is an actual giant. He just can't shrink back to his secret identity. And that's it.
