● SPOILER I FINALLY watched Clone Wars and Rebels General Discussion So, I've always thought about watching Clone Wars (I did a tiny little bit as a kid and it's nostalgic for me because of the merch and LEGOs/LEGO game, but never fully watched it) and I had a tough time getting into it (I don't watch a lot of animated stuff) but I finally committed and WOW. I loved it and decided to watch Rebels before Ahsoka as well and man, I truly loved both of them. Don't read if you haven't watched these shows. Watching Rebels for the first time. Wow, did I miss out! General Discussion So I recently decided to pull the trigger on watching Rebels after hearing it's a huge precursor for Ashoka. I'd always had interest in watching Clone Wars and Rebels, I don't care that I'm a 29 year old adult male lol, I just have always been more into live action. Just finished rebels! It is absolutely amazing! I've been missing out all this time! TV Just finished watching both the Clone Wars and Rebels. Wow! Mix of Series Just finished watching Clone Wars: What a MASTERPIECE!! Movies I just watched the first season of the Clone Wars... General Discussion I've been meaning to get into the animated shows for a while now, so my decision to watch it didn't have anything to do with the Ahsoka series coming out (which I haven't even seen, so no spoilers). I was thinking of watching Rebels since I'm more familiar with the OT and its spin-off shows (I've seen the Prequels but never really became invested in them), but was told I should probably watch TCW before Rebels because the former sets up the latter, and boy, am I glad I did. This show is so great and it's so cool and interesting to see the world of the Prequels outside of the movies themselves. Having already seen Ahsoka in Mando and knowing she has her own series now, watching TCW feels like I'm watching the beginning of an entirely different saga that runs parallel to Anakin's and Luke's. Can't wait to follow this story through the rest of the seasons, Rebels, and Ahsoka. From Skeptic to Superfan: How Rebels Enriched My Ahsoka Experience TV Man, what a time to be a Star Wars fan! I've been gobbling up almost every Star Wars show out there, though gotta admit, Book of Boba Fett and Mando S3 didn't quite hit the spot for me. So, when Ahsoka came around, I was on the fence. I loved Clone Wars, but never really ventured into Rebels territory despite the recommendation from this subreddit. Gave it a whirl before, but wasn't feeling it much-probably because I saw Rebels S1 immediately after Clone Wars Season 7. But Ahsoka's launch nudged me to give Rebels another shot. Rebels Season 1 was alright, but oh boy, Seasons 2 through 4? Total game changers. I got really hooked on Ezra, Kanan, Hera, and my favorite droid in all of Star Wars - Chopper. And let's not forget Thrawn! Heard his name dropped in Mando and I was quite confused. But seeing him in Rebels, man, he's a villain done right. Makes Moff Gideon look like small fry. Episodes like "Twilight of the Apprentice", "World Between Worlds", "Jedi Night" and the series finale? Pure gold. Watching Rebels before diving into Ahsoka was a total win. Seeing that mural, recognizing Gov Azadi, Jacen, and the gang just amped up the whole Ahsoka experience. I'm buzzing for the series finale. Random musings: Ahsoka has made me watch the Rebels for the first time TV And wow! I just binged season 1! Wow! Can't believe I dismissed this when it came out. I've always been a massive SW fan, I read the original novels (now the EU) and have fond memories of Heir to the Empire, the comics, games, everything, but the cartoon shows just struck me as too childish so I didn't give them a chance. Well, watching and loving Ahsoka (after being disappointed by everything that wasn't Mando S1&2) convinced me to give Rebels a shot and I'm so glad I did! I'm loving it! Oh, it's beautiful.
