Star Wars writers are Anarchists What is it Jesse? The OG Trilogy had the Rebels, the Sequel Trilogy had the Resistance which was resisting a rebel movement in the First Order. Why not have them be part of the New Republic? It doesn't make sense. The Prequels had the Republic, but its purpose was to eventually become the Empire. It's as if the writers think functioning governments are either evil, incompetent, or doomed to fail. Jesse, the Ewok's government is functional.
