As someone who loves designing clothing and hopes to get into the fashion industry one day, it bothers me greatly, and I feel people who think this just don't quite understand Rarity's character Rarity doesn't just like fashion; she is absolutely passionate about it. She's not the stereotypical beauty loving girl that plague little girl shows. She pursues her love of fashion into a career. She can see designs and patterns that are both pleasing and functional and work them into something amazing. She can see the beauty in the world and give it a physical form. She loves to bring joy to other people through her own creations. She is a creator. She is an artist. Rarity proves that just because someone cares about fashion or beauty, it doesn't mean that they are vapid or shallow. I just wish more people would understand that.
