1 r/Star Wars Cantina u/skywalkers66. 6h the sequels are what got me into star wars and for that I will always appreciate them Discussion I had just turned 10 when I watched the force awakens in theaters, honestly young me KNEW star wars but wasn't that into it, like I knew the basic plot but I didn't understand why people were so into it. Well after I just finished watching the force awakens my entire world changed, that single movie is what introduced me to star wars. Young 10 year old me loved it so much that I even dressed as Rey for Halloween!!! It's been 7 years since it has released and since then I have watched the OT prequels, tv shows, books, video games, and comics numerous times. Star wars has impacted my life so much and I will forever be thankful for the force awakens because that got me into star wars.
