E r/BasketballTips ... KY u/gjbfru · 2h Am I wrong for yelling at the coach? Help My son and his team were playing in the last game, and they were down by like four in the last minute or so. My son was really playing well, but we were still trailing. This moron of a coach decides to sub out the starters and put in the bench even though we're only down by four points and still have almost 30 seconds left. I freaking out in the stand, I was yelling at him about phoning it in and not pushing forward. After the game, I waited outside the locker room, and as soon as the coach came out I told him that he was a punk and an idiot for seven of the players. This is the same coach who sat my son on the bench last year and a game when he had like 25 points or something in a close playoff game. I am tired of this coach always doing stupid stuff and not getting the most out of my son's team. The assistant coach grabbed me by the Armand asked me outside, and he said that nothing productive would happen in a conversation right now. I am going to meet with the coach probably on Wednesday to talk. I am really fed up, but my wife says I need to calmly explain why I am frustrated. I just don't get why the coach like this, what do you think?
