Unless you're familiar with major projects of the online Speculative Biology community, this likely makes absolutely no sense to you. To make a long story short, this is set on a world where all large vertebrates are descended from guppies or canaries. The two creatures depicted are sapient species descended from them (the one with the antlers is a guppy descendant, the one with the toothy beak is a canary descendant).
