Xoriak 1 day ago 37 + Wanna comment on something real quick. You're damn right. A lof of us aren't used to/have ever done this style of animation before. Everyone in the team was extremely based in Minecraft animation production. I was the only one outside of that but even then I was extremely new to the "Pixar" style too. Couple thing I wanna comment on, people being 2D figures. We didn't have to time or the resources to make more than just Dream (speaking of, we didn't have a lot of time for his rig either so it came out lack luster), we wanted to make George and Sapnap for the webcam shots to they could be actually animated but we didn't have time for that either. So we went with figures since they're time effective and tried to make them fit in with a 2D-ish style to objects beyond Dream's room and the school hallway. As you can tell it didn't go so well Imao. Also they were pngs not jpgs HA gotcha there. The story. We didn't write the story, Dream did. I am only credited for screenplay because I rewrote and refined Dream's to be more comprehensive for production. All the ideas were his, everything visual wise (composition, acting, e.t.c) was mainly mine. But was deviated from since I wasn't as close to the project as I should've been so a LOT of thing came out very different than they were meant to. Making the video feel off story wise and visual wise. Also love the vid AND agree with you about how the video looks, at least we have more experience in that area now and hopefully can do better if we ever do anything like it again <3
