In the downtown area of Wet-Dry World, if Mario is positioned at the base of these trees, then A is held and B is pressed rapidly, Mario will quickly perform his dive animation while automatically spinning in a circle.

Mario's health is not restored when entering a course. By precisely timing fire damage, it's possible to enter Lethal Lava Land with 0 health. Mario will play the entering animation as normal, but die immediately upon touching the ground.
