Because there are no dungeons But the Battle Maison has 5 different modes, which is more than RS and DP's battle tower, on top of there also being the Looker post-game episode, Battle Chateau rematches, Mega Stone hunting, the Friend Safari, and the biggest regional dex in the series to complete. Comparing the post-game to Platinum, HGSS, or BW2 isn't fair because those games didn't add a new region or new Pokemon like XY did, which add far more value than being a rehash. Because there's no post-game So you were fine with every game starting a Professor handing you a Grass/Fire/Water starter just like Kanto, the rival picking the starter that beats yours just like Kanto, going out to collect 8 Gym Badges just like Kanto, defeating an evil team with a silly name by the 8th Badge just like Kanto, defeating the Elite Four just like Kanto, and then having to beat a surprise Champion just like Kanto, but being handed an optional Kanto starter, Snorlax, and Lapras is where you draw the line even though the game literally forces you to use Lucario? Because of Kanto pandering
