00 2/11/2021 O1 photo One day this week my husband was at the gym, and when he felt like he could not breathe through his mask after doing a work out, he had to pull his mask away from his face to breathe. I do that as well when I go work out, honestly it's impossible to work out with a mask the WHOLE TIME. If I did I felt as if you're going to inhale your mask in your mouth and feel even worse. People around us do the same thing because we all know it's hard to breathe properly after physical activity when you have a mask on the entire time. A female manager who was working out, and not clocked in, told the receptionist to tell my husband to put his mask back on. He apologized and said he always keeps it on minis when he needs to take a breather. Then for a good 20 minutes he was being watched by BOTH the un-clocked manager and the receptionist. People all around kept bringing the mask up and down but he was the one they wanted to single out. The un-clocked manager was on the stair master & receptionist (who wasn't in the front doing her job) was behind me, both chatting and staring at me. As if they were watching HIS every breath while he works out. But hey it's okay that the other people around him are doing the same thing? This is HARASSMENT & SINGLING OUT one person they felt like picking on. The receptionist walked by and stared at him more telling him more , mouthing "put your mask on". If they truly wanted to re-enforce it, tell the WHOLE GYM to keep their masks on. That is the professional way that is the non harassment way. What happened was wrong. Golds gym, SHAME on you for having workers who showcase harassment to their members. Your website talks about equality for all. Then treat everybody the same and stop singling out and picking on people just because you feel like you have the power. A member should not feel scared to breathe because the employee will pick at them and WATCH their every move and every breath. Everyone is following the rules, let them breathe!!
