The Current State of US Politics

Notes:

The Democrats are the ones advocating for more reasonable policies, but their views still tend toward the right side of the spectrum. They're only regarded as "the Left" because the only other major party is so much farther to the right. So what we end up with is one party that's trying to force its insane views on the country with minimal regard for the average citizen, and another one that isn't doing enough to stop them.

So no, both sides aren't the same. One of them is far worse.
