Why did Joseph cheat on Suzie Q. with Tomoko? He didn't really have a particular reason for that. Joseph just did it out of the situation he was in, thinking, that nobody would find out. This out of character action was maybe meant to show that even Joseph is flawed and can do such colossal mistakes, making him more identifiable for the audience. Additionally, it is meant to show a clear contrast between him and his grandfather, making the clear distinction between Arakis writing style in Part 1 and Part 2. Actually, he did it to save Morioh. With the power of Hermit Purple, he predicted a danger for the city of Morioh in the form of a photo in 1983, like he did it at the start of Part 4 with Ang stay long enough in Japan to find this threat because of DIO, who was also freed in 1983, he decided to make a new member of the Joestar bloodline with the young Tomoko he met in Japan, knowing that fate will make his son stay there and eventually fulfill his destiny to save Morioh CONYO MH Because he knew that he couldn't instead of Joseph. This complicated, but also well thought out plan is therfore pretty in-character for the crafty, always thinking ahead personality of Joseph, established in Part 2, making this theory more plausible. In the end, it is just another example of the true genius of Araki's writing and why Joseph Joestar is and always will be the best JJBA protagonist.
