We had the strangest thing happen to us this afternoon and I thought I would share and warn others. Late afternoon my husband went around the corner to check the mail. He is a software engineer who works long days, and especially since COVID we don't get a chance to get out of the house much. He decided to stretch his legs and take advantage of the cool weather we've been fortunate to have and decided to sit down in the grass in е НОА рark. Within MINUTES a policeman showed up and began questioning my husband. Luckily my husband had his ID on him and was able to prove he lived across the street. Apparently a member of the HOA board called the police because they assumed he was a vagrant? I do not understand why we are calling the police on people minding their own business sitting in the grass? He was not hurting anyone and the fact that the police were called on him for literally doing nothing is absolutely unacceptable. So an extremely unfortunate warning to others- make sure you have identification when walking around your own neighborhood because apparently you must show proof of your right to exist in the space.
