The mummy-man is Gilver, a copy of Vergil from the Devil May Cry 1 manga. Originally, his status relative to Vergil and the canonicity of that manga were unclear, but Devil May Cry 5 and the Before the Nightmare novel established Gilver as an Angelus prototype created by Mundus based on Dante and Vergil's battle data.
