The Cola War That Never Was

One day, back in the 1960's, the Soviet Union brokered a deal with Pepsi where they would give Pepsi Vodka in exchange for Cola Syrup; as the Soviet Rubble was essentially worthless outside of the USSR.

This was all fine and dandy until 1989, when Pepsi had so much vodka that it had ceased to become a profitable trade. So the Soviets just gave them a naval fleet instead in payment for the Pepsi syrup.

The fleet consisted of 17 submarines, a cruiser, a frigate and a destroyer, which was towed to Sweden and sold for scrap. Disappointing, I know, but not all wacky events from history have exciting conclusions.
