They had a clear vision of what the game needed to be: >the first Sonic title to introduce the Sonic gameplay to the 3D world, with clever adaptations and unique mechanics >Sega of America later ordered them to give much more emphasis in Sonic, so they needed to change a lot of stuff to make him fit in a >A reboot of the franchise, with new designs, characters, a deeper history with character arcs, and such. game that was originally designed for another type of concept. >Mania happened and they had to waste even more time putting Classic Sonic in the game. With exclusive levels, gameplay, Green Hills and Chemical Plants. Result: a game with well executed premises that stablished the new era of Sonic games, with some still considering it being the best game of the franchise. Result: Sonic forces being known as the "rushed and undercooked" game of the boost formula, that tried to be too many things at once, while focusing on things they shouldn't in the first place.
