When I have seen people share articles about college kids refusing to do social distancing, the featured image was of young women in bathing suits. Wonder why. I've criticized the "Karen" meme among my friends before, and they defended it as somehow still aligned with their wokeness because... "Karen" is a racist? | guess Karen is the same person calling the cops when they see minorities existing, according to my friends. But come. on. In the context of this pandemic, I saw someone blaming "Karen" for all of the empty shelves at their local drug store. So this person went to a store, saw that the shelves were empty, wanted to blame someone, and came up with a faceless woman with a stacked haircut. How is that not misogyny? I'm sure that there are women hoarding stuff.. for their families. It just seems awfully convenient that we're hearing from the authorities that we should have months worth of groceries stocked up and disinfect our houses every day and then when gasp! there aren't enough supplies to go around, it must be the fault of those terrible moms! I wasn't going to post this, but it has really been bugging me. I have been working from home these last 4 weeks and my office is at the front of my house. I am busy working away this afternoon and I look over to see a woman in her 30's with her daughter behind her jogging on my driveway right in front of my house. It freaked me out!! Why would anyone be jogging on someone's driveway? I really wish I would have grabbed my keys and opened my front door to see what in the hell these people are thinking! I have been trying to walk in my neighborhood each day and large families walk in pacts across the road. They block side streets making it difficult to turn up these streets. Oh, and did I mention the people who glare at you and will absolutely not say hello. Some will, but some of you walking down Road need to wipe off your Bitch Face and be nice. Seriously. Thought it would be nice to walk my neighborhood, but whatever. Thank you to the others who are cool and nice and have proper etiquette.
