Know Your Meme
Food for thought (just a personal post) My dad works for the company that makes several major brands of snack foods. If you live in the US, you would know them all. Today is the 15th day he has been at the plant, sleeping on cots in the offices along with about 20 of the other key people needed to make sure the trucks gets filled and all those bags of delicious crispys we love so much make it onto the store shelves. They were all offered paid sick leave and a few took it, but he (and the others) chose to stay because - yes it's a job but beyond that, they knew that literally millions of people are going to be glad to see that during the stress of being on lock-down or quarantine - at least they will still be able to got ahold of some comfort food - to make life seem a little more normal. I'm not saying he is a hero, but for the first time in my life I have no trouble saying that I am truly very proud of what my dad does for a living.
