Members of Super Smash Bros Ultimate's community have been criticized for bullying 15-year-old after she beat a pro Smash player. Nicknamed Bocchi, the teenager beat pro player Ally, a Snake player, with Animal Crossing's Isabelle. With Isabelle being deemed a mid-tier character, one that is rarely used in professional fights, many were upset that the teenager won. Although, with Bocchi also being one of the few female Smash players, an unhealthy dash of sexism definitely did not help the situation.
