AND SO, I'VE PREPARED A COMPREHEN- SIVE SUMMARY FOR A CARD THAT IS DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind Level 3 DARK Winged Beast Tuner Effect Monster 1300 ATK/400 DEF BLACKWING GALE THE WHIRLWIND Special Summon effect (does not start a chain) If you control a "Blackwing" monster other than "Blackwing Gale the Whirlwind", you can Special Summon this card (from your hand) . Ignition Effect: Once per turn: You can target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; that target's ATK and DEF become half its current ATK and DEF. The values halved are not the original ATK/DEF but rather the current ATK/DEF of the target when this effect resolves -This effect applies even if this card leaves the field The halved ATK/DEF do not revert to their original values at the end of the turn and continue to stay halved'into the following turns. It is possible to halve the ATK/DEF of the same target again the following turns, halving the half, and so on. Multiple "Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind" can target the same monster to stack the halving effect. -If a monster affected by "Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind" would change its ATK/DEF with its own continuous effect, that continuous effect stops being applied.' If a monster affected by"Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind" would change its ATK/ DEF with a card effect other than its own continuous effect, those card effects base their changes using the resulting (halved) values of this effect. If those card effects change the original ATK/DEF of the target, then their effects are applied as writtern -If the target has already had its ATK/DEF altered by a card effect (other than its own continuous effect) before applying this effect, even if those ATK/DEF-altering card effects stop being applied, the current values do not change -If applying this effect to a monster with ATK/DEF altered by a Field Spell, Equip Spell, Continuous Spell, or Continuous Trap, even if those cards leave the field, the ATK/DEF of the affected monster does not change. Field Spells, Equip Spells, Continuous Spells, and Continuous Trap effects that were already applying before applying this effect that would change the ATK/DEF of the affected monster in a specific turn, phase, step, or during Damage Calculation, stop being applied.** DEF become half its (based on old 2012 rulings.
