/pol/ has been a pox on 4chan for quite some time now. Certain boards who would be susceptible to their cancer, like /k/ and /his/, have put up warning stickies to any stormbronies and r_TheDonald kids who think they can vomit their drivel freely. However, compare those stickies to this one. The /k/ sticky simply warns you that current events and politics are not suitable topics for the weapons board. Pretty simple and straight forward.

But this? This is angry, defensive, and frankly more vitriolic than it needs to be.One can say that moderation somply does not want another gamergate fiasco trashing the board again, and for good reason, That little episode drew in so many cancerous newfriends, it wasn't even funny. This however, seems quite ill timed. Mods on 4chan have been very, very power hungry for the last three years. They too have been deleting things and banning people who post things they do not like, and mostly on boards like /co/ or /tg/, mostly any non-human characters being banned and put under the "furry" clause of GR3. I've seen people banned on /co/ for posting actual screenshots from shows such as Swat Kats and webcomics like Prequel Adventure (the latter being far more blatant, see this thread https://desuarchive.org/co/thread/95531945/ where a janitor/mod angrily polices the thread. All posts arguing against him were later banned, including me). I'm no furry myself, but this is absolutely ridiculous.

I'm pretty sure you all know what I'm implying. The Collapse of NeoGAF's site and staff do not ultimately destroy their influence.
